About me...
Hello, my name is Rachel Bradford. I am currently a student at The University of South Alabama in my third year. I am an Elementary Education Major. I have a three year old son named Christian. I spend as much of my free time as I can with him. He is a big part of why I wanted to become a teacher. I found I really enjoy helping him learn his basics such as numbers and letters and believed I would also enjoy helping other children with their lessons. I am engaged to be married to Christians father. His name is Michael. We plan to get married once I have graduated. I love my family very much. I graduated high school from McGill Toolen in Two Thousand and Five. I have been a full time student at South Alabama ever since.
My Teaching Philosophy....

Consistency....

My fourth belief is consistency. I will try to never change my ways of teaching your children unless it’s for the better, so that they will not feel any new pressures or anxieties. I will be consistent with my help and my grading. I will also be consistent in being there for their benefit in any way possible.

Fairness....
My fifth and final point of my philosophy is fairness. I believe that the saying, life is not fair, is true but I will try my best to make sure that everything in my classroom is equally fair to each and every student. Nothing shall be better nor worse for any student. No student shall have a better chance at an education or opportunity than another. Thank you very much for allowing me to explain my philosophy to you and your children. I promise to you and your children to uphold my beliefs and make this a fun and educational year.
Honesty....
Respect is also a good foundation for my second point. My second point of my philosophy is honesty. When trust is added to the relationship, I believe we can over come any bump in the road. Your child will never feel alone in my care because they will know that I am there for them.

Personal Development...
My third point is personal development. I will try to the best of my ability to pull from your child the highest level of achievement based on their individual abilities. I will strengthen the weaker attributes and build upon their stronger ones.
Respect for Others:
As a future teacher there are a number of things I would like my students parents to know about me. As your child’s teacher I would like to give you an idea of what my goals and beliefs are as a teacher. In this I hope you are also able to grasp what ideals I would like to pass onto your children. The first point of my philosophy is respect for others. I feel that as a teacher respect is a great foundation for the relationship between your child and I to build upon.
